GlaxoSmithKline Warns of Latex in Fluarix® Syringes

[Posted 8/23/10] In an August 16, 2010 letter to healthcare professionals, GSK warned that the tip caps of prefilled syringes of the flu vaccine FLUARIX may contain natural rubber latex. The letter updates the prescribing information, which failed to warn about possible allergic reactions in latex–sensitive individuals.
