DOT Publishes Final Drug Testing Rule, Effective October 2010
[Posted 8/13/10] The Department of Transportation is changing certain provisions of its procedures for transportation workplace drug and alcohol testing programs to make them consistent with many (although not all) of the new requirements established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Some of the changes will also affect the training of and procedures used by Medical Review Officers. The final rule is scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on Monday, August 16, 2010. The effective date of the new rule is October 1, 2010.
